In this article, we’ll explain to you how you can jail break your Iphone on iOS 4 safely without taking any risks of hurting your device. One thing I always recommend to Iphone owners before jail breaking is backing up their phone with iTunes.

Just in case you have problems with your Iphone after the jail breaking process has completed, this will allow you to revert your Iphone to its original state as if it were new. Restoring it will also keep Apple from being able to see that your Iphone was jail broken which is great as jail breaking or altering your Iphones software voids the warranty on your phone.

Though there are many jail breaking software’s available, I like to use RedSn0w as it has been used by a lot of people and it’s very easy to use. RedSn0w only requires about 10 minutes of time to jail break your Iphone and for the most part, RedSn0w automates the jail breaking process for you. Follow the instructional and the directions closely and you won’t have any problems before or after jail breaking your Iphone.

Step 1

The first thing that you need to do is to create a new folder on your desktop and name it Pwnage. To do this, right click on your Desktop and select New Folder, and name the folder Pwnage.

Step 2

Next, you need to download RedSn0w from RedSn0w.us and place it in the Pwnage folder.

Step 3

Connect your Iphone to the computer and open up iTunes.

Step 4

Once RedSn0w opens click the Browse button

Step Five

Select the jail breaking software in your folder and open it.

Step Six

Once the firmware has been verified click the “Next” button to continue.

Step Seven

RedSn0w will now prepare to jail break your device.

Step Eight

From this window you can select the jailbreak options you would like.

Step 9

Once you click “Next” RedSn0w will then begin the jail breaking process and this process is automated, when it’s done, you will be prompted with a message saying that it is completed and that it is safe to disconnect your Iphone.

Wanting to jail break your Iphone 3G or 3GS while running iOS 3.2.2? Today I’ll be writing a detailed article and tutorial on how you can jail break your device running this version on your Iphone using GreenPo1son. GreenPo1son (GreenPo1son.com) is a jail breaking software released by the Dev Team, a well known and reputable team of hackers and programmers that have released previous versions of jail breaking software. Green Po1son is a very easy jail breaking software to use and well ensure you a safe and easy jail break. As always, be sure to back up your Iphone with iTunes before jail breaking incase you need to restore your phone back to it’s original state in case you have issues or problems with your Iphone after the jail breaking process is complete, after all, jail breaking your Iphone is altering the Iphones software, functionality and usability, but for the better if done properly. Put in simple terms, jail breaking allows you to download all games and apps for free but most do it to open up and broaden the full capability of the Iphone. With that said, let’s begin.

Step 1

Download the Green Po1son jail breaking software onto your desktop, you can do this by going to http://www.GreenPo1son.com and then click “Downloads” at the top and then select the appropriate download.

Step 2

First, open iTunes and make sure your phone is connected to the computer via the USB cable. Next you need to put your Iphone in DFU mode which is a recovery mode and is required to jail break your device. To put your Iphone in DFU mode, hold down the “Power” button and the “Home” button at the same time for ten seconds, at ten seconds, release the “Power” button while still holding the “Home” button until you get a pop up from iTunes saying that it has detected an Iphone in recovery mode.

Step 3

Start the Green Po1son software by clicking the icon on your desktop. Once the software has opened, you will be able to click “Start” and Green Po1son will take care of the rest of the process for you. Once started, the rest of the process is automated.

Step 4

Once the jail breaking is complete, Green Po1son will notify you that the process is done and that is okay to disconnect your Iphone. Go on your phone and you will notice a new program installed called “Cydia”. Open up Cydia; go to “Sources” and then “Manage”. Once you’re in “Manage”, go to “Add” and put in “Installous” and add it as a source. Installous is the jail broken version of the Apple App store and this is where you will be able to download all of the games and apps you want. If it’s in the Apple App store, it’s on Installous.

Step 1

Download the latest Spirit Jailbreak software to your desktop. SpiritJB.com

If you are a Windows 7 user, right click on the Spirit.exe icon and select “Properties”. Under the “Compatibility” tab on the Properties window, enable the “Run this program in compatibility mode for” checkbox and select Windows 98/Windows ME from the drop down list.

Once you have done this, click “Apply” and then “Ok” to close the window.

Step 3

You will now be prompted to connect your iPhone.

Connect your iPhone or iPod touch to your computer and click “Jailbreak”

The Spirit application will now start the jailbreak process. Once done, you will be prompted to “Quit” the application.

Step 6

Press the ‘Quit‘ button. Your Iphone 3G/Iphone 3Gs will now reboot to show the progress indicator.

Once the process is completed, your iPhone or iPod Touch should be successfully jailbroken. You should also see Cydia application installed on your iPhone or iPod Touch’s Home Screen.
